Fish Biting & Turkey Day

Two Bisbee Teams Score Millions

Jakob Gonterman, an angler on Team Stella June, hooked a Black Marlin and landed it on Thursday, Day One at 3:00 p.m. It was the first fish to come to the scale during the Tournament. On Saturday night, the Tournament Awards presented the Team a check in the amount of $4.4 Million, exceeding that of the $3.9 record of “Bad Company” in 2006. This check is the largest written in the history of the Bisbee tournaments.

Norma’s gone Bisbee’s Begins

Since Norma left the building, the Bisbee Team has been setting up the Sponsors’ tents and weigh station again – for the second time.

And more good news is that effective this morning, Port Captain Alberto Valerio Verduzco announced he has reopened the port.

Big Money Tournaments begin at Cabo

As many of you already know, Tropical Storm Norma has formed in the Eastern Pacific and is currently located approximately 1000 miles to our south-southeast.  Norma is currently moving north-northwest at 9 knots.

While we are watching this system very closely, as of now, all tournament systems are a “GO” and the Bisbee’s Los Cabos Offshore tournament is expected to run as scheduled.
